Job Description
As a senior Finance Business Partner, you will independently lead annual planning, long-range planning, and strategic finance projects for a function, region, or product line. You will partner directly with VPs and department heads, present financial results to the executive team, and set the standards that Level I and Level II staff follow.
Responsibilities
- Lead the annual operating plan (AOP) and long-range plan (LRP) for an assigned function, region, or product line, including target setting and investment trade-off analysis.
- Serve as the primary finance partner to one or more VPs / department heads, framing strategic options and recommending decisions backed by financial analysis.
- Lead cross-functional strategic finance initiatives such as pricing strategy, capital allocation, M&A diligence and integration support, and operational efficiency programs.
- Design and own the financial narrative for board / executive reporting for the assigned area, including the monthly business review.
- Set FP&A standards, templates, and best practices used by Level I and Level II Finance Business Partners; review their work and coach on advanced modeling and stakeholder management.
- Identify and quantify risks and opportunities to the company's financial plan; propose mitigations and lead the execution of agreed actions with business owners.
- Partner with Accounting, Strategy, Data, and HR to ensure financial systems, data, and processes scale with the business.
- Mentor and develop junior FP&A staff; participate in hiring and onboarding for the finance team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or strategy consulting, with at least 2 years partnering with senior business leaders.
- Advanced financial modeling skills, including valuation, scenario / Monte Carlo analysis, and unit-economic modeling.
- Demonstrated ability to influence non-finance executives and drive decisions in ambiguous environments.
- Proficiency with SQL and BI tools (Tableau or Power BI); ability to design metric frameworks, not just consume dashboards.
- Deep familiarity with at least one major ERP (NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle) and the upstream / downstream systems that feed it.
- Track record of leading and mentoring junior FP&A staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive-level presentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate with team members in a remote work environment.
Preferred Skills
- CPA, CFA, or MBA.
- Written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin.
- Prior experience in a high-growth technology, marketplace, or cross-border services business.
- Exposure to Python or other scripting languages for finance automation and data analysis.
- Experience supporting M&A diligence, fundraising, or board materials.
Additional Information
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- Opportunities for professional growth and leadership development.
- Flexible working hours and a fully remote work environment.
- A collaborative and innovative team culture.
